INVOICES AND PAYMENTS
- If you receive a bill after receiving a medical service because you do not have a TIS, you should keep the bills, which can sometimes be cancelled when you obtain the TIS. The contact details for requesting cancellation can be found on the invoice itself.
- It is important to know that non-payment does not generate interest, nor does it lead to seizure, nor does it imply a problem with the immigration authorities. The Health Department will always attend to medical emergencies.
- If we are informed that they are going to be charged, the person must inform us that they do not have any money, but they must insist on being attended to. If medical attention is refused, a complaint can be lodged with the Health Department.
